Granger Middle School Home

About Us

Welcome to our school! We believe that parent participation is key to student success; our new website is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to be active participants in their student’s education. You will find that the site works just as well on mobile devices as it does on a desktop so you can find information on the go.

Mission Statement

The Mission of our school is to prepare all students for social and academic excellence!

Principal's Message

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!

Granger Middle School continues to grow and adjust our work to better meet the needs of our students.  Our mission statement is “to prepare all students for academic and social excellence,” and that mission drives our work at GMS.
GMS continues to offer an enrichment period for students to improve their academic skills in math or reading.  These groups are flexible and specific to each individual student’s needs.
For the past 2 years, Granger Middle School has been recognized as an AVID school of distinction.  AVID, or Advancement Via Individual Determination, helps students work on study skills, organization, tutoring, and college readiness.  We have a section of AVID in grades 6-8, but teachers integrate many of the AVID strategies and techniques into their daily routine, thus making our building AVID school-wide.
We have reintroduced an advisory period three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  Students will meet with their advisory teacher for team building activities, goal setting, help with organization, and gives students an opportunity to check in with a caring adult.
Staff at Granger Middle School are excited to begin another school year and are looking forward helping your child learn and grow.  If you have any questions or are interested in seeing what is going on at GMS, please feel free to give us a call.
